This is a ramen shop "Haneman" located in Iwataki, Yosano Town, Kyoto Prefecture (near Amanohashidate in Miyazu City). We aim to be a ramen shop that continues to be loved by the locals, serving chuka soba, salt ramen, pork bone ramen, miso ramen, Amanohashidate ramen, etc., and we strive to make seriously delicious ramen. Please come by on your way to Amanohashidate/Ine sightseeing, for a late-night meal, or on your way back from fishing. 5-6 minutes by car (taxi) from Amanohashidate, please come for a late-night meal as well. *There is a parking lot in front of the shop, but please be careful when crossing the road.

Having visited Haneman three times now, I can confidently say I've never left disappointed. This ramen spot consistently delivers a satisfying and delicious meal that keeps me coming back for more. While the menu might seem concise, don't let that fool you. Their menu is focused on high-quality ramen, with delicious options like their "pork bone," "miso," and "pork bone soy sauce" varieties, all characterized by their incredibly satisfying soups. Every item I've tried has been delicious, and the option to add a set with fried rice or gyoza is a bonus for those that are extra hungry. Their sides include fried rice, gyoza, and fried chicken wings, which are all excellent, but if I had to pick one, the fried chicken wings are a must-try – perfectly crispy and flavorful. My personal favorite has been the Miso ramen. The rich, combined miso soup, coupled with perfectly chewy and supple noodles and a hint of sesame, creates a deeply flavorful and utterly delicious bowl. The option to customize the spice level is also a great touch for those who enjoy a bit of heat. Their signature Haneman Ramen, boasting a soup made from a blend of pork bone and chicken stock, is also truly exceptional. The thin, straight noodles, sourced from Hiroshima, pair well with their ramen and adds the texture that brings their ramen together. To top it off, their pork is marinated overnight in their homemade sauce and is wonderfully tender and flavorful, striking an ideal balance of sweet and savory. Haneman might not look like a traditional ramen shop from the outside, but once you step in, it immediately immerses you in that authentic ramen shop atmosphere. Their friendly greeting hospitality adds to the overall pleasant experience. For anyone who loves ramen, Haneman is an absolute recommendation. It's a place where every bowl is crafted with care, and you're sure to leave feeling happy and well-fed.

Good Ramen (a bit salty as Japanese style) Staff was nice, I came at launch and saw only Japanese people in the restaurant. Reasonable price, good mood.

It doesn't look anything like a ramen shop from the outside. But.... Once you enter, it just screams ramen! Very traditional and hospitable. You'll need to register your number of pax and seating preference, counter or tatami before you are seated. The ramen is among one of the best I've tried. If I could fault it, it would only be on the saltier side. It could do with a little less salt for me. Otherwise, the noodles is just cooked to perfection, chasu is so tender that broke into two when I attempted to pick it up! Had to try their fried rice too! It's a Japanese thing to have ramen and fried rice together and it sure didn't disappoint! Recommended to try if you love ramen!

I agree with John Smith. It's a relief when you can't find any open restaurant around and you find one like this, where it's easy to order thanks to English menu and it's easy to communicate with the staff. Good ramen. The thin-cut pork melts in the mouth. It is delicious.

The best of Kyoto by the Sea. Haneman is the best ramen shop I have been to in the entire region. The menu is incredibly diverse, including miso ramen (with multiple spice levels), a seafood ramen, pork-based ramen, a chicken-salt ramen, as well as staples like soy sauce ramen. The stock is made slowly and by hand, using high-quality ingredients. I can't recommend this enough. I ordered the miso ramen and chicken-salt ramen. I wanted to try the seafood as well but it was already sold-out for the day by the time I got there. The miso ramen was incredibly good and it was only about 850 yen. And I think a lot of the dishes were around this pricepoint. I will definitely be back.
