Udon noodle restaurant

★ 3.7350 reviews

An udon shop that serves homemade udon noodles that are chewy and have a firm texture, with the option to increase up to 3 servings for the same price. A rich Kansai-style dashi, carefully prepared every morning using kombu kelp and several types of dried fish. An udon shop where you can easily enjoy a well-balanced meal with filling toppings. Popular for its original curry udon made by blending curry powder with several types of spices, aromatic vegetables, and mango chutney, then diluted with their proud dashi, and the pork vegetable noodles which have a miso soup flavor and allow you to get the benefits of the flavor of Iberico pork and vegetables. Can be used for lunch or dinner. You can enjoy Japanese cuisine centered on udon and rice bowls.

Double large portion of rice and noodles for Gyutoji-don. This is a generous shop where you can get up to three servings for the same price. This area is a battle zone because of the noodle street. Recommended for those who want to get full. Shares a parking lot with a ramen shop so it's easy to park. There is a large space on the left side facing the front of the shop for parking bicycles and motorcycles.

First use during the Sunday dinner peak time. Tadokoro Shoten in front has a line, but here I sat down immediately. Inside the shop, including the toilet, there is no impression of cleanliness overall. Next, the udon was lukewarm, the rice bowl was soupy... the chikuwa tempura served when registering the app was the most delicious... maybe. Well, because it was like that, I'm sorry for not coming back. Thank you for the meal.

The parking lot is large and the shop is also large, with many seats for two people facing each other, Even for a single customer, I was guided to sit without worry. Lunch sets with rice, noodles, and free large portions were also good. I had the Katsudon and warm Udon set (large portion of noodles). It tastes good like the stable Tokutoku Udon.

The shop is located behind Lawson on National Route 1, towards Kyoto, so it felt a bit hard to find. I visited during lunch, and the set with a rice bowl is in the 800-900 yen range, which I think is reasonable in this era of rising prices. (Mixed rice set starts from 700 yen) Also, only during lunch? Large portions of rice and noodles are free, but think of it as a little extra level rather than a large portion. Also, at this price, the pork in the Katsudon is thin, but the dashi is suitable for everyone, so anyone can enjoy it deliciously! There are many ramen shops nearby that compete with each other, but if you want to eat something light occasionally, visiting this shop will not be a mistake.

Is the parking lot shared with the ramen shop Tadokoro Shoten and Lawson? Inside there is tatami and it is quite spacious. Since I've only been going to Maru○ Seimen recently, this is my first time at Tokutoku in a long time, but it really feels like Osaka Uron (udon)! 😆 The lack of chewiness is nostalgic! But this is delicious in its own way. Kyushu udon is also like this 😃 like Maki udon...
