The matcha gyoza and soft serve were delightful. The gyoza comes with matcha salt, which was definitely optional, better as is without the salt imo. There's also a pleasant seating area in front of the restaurant.

A truly unique flavour experience — the matcha gyoza is especially enjoyable when eaten outdoors, particularly in winter. The matcha float really stood out, delivering a rich matcha taste that paired beautifully with the iced matcha. The vanilla ice cream cone, though fairly ordinary in flavour, was elevated by its crispy, biscuity cone, which brought the whole experience to the next level.

5 star for service and atmosphere. 1 star for takoyaki and gyoza. Ordered the combo set - 6 gyoza and 6 takoyaki. The gyoza were cold, the skin stuck to the paper plate. The meat was overly salty, could not taste the matcha powder that came with it. The takoyaki had little squid filling. Could not taste the matcha cream topping on it.

Uji is full of unique food, and one of the highlights was the matcha takoyaki and matcha gyoza — both were surprisingly good! Honestly, four pieces of the matcha takoyaki weren’t enough for me; I could’ve easily eaten more. The flavor was rich and delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. There’s also a seating area where you can enjoy your food. I highly recommend trying their matcha drink too — it’s a non-milk green tea with a natural sweetness that pairs perfectly with the food. I visited in September 2024.

The takoyaki shop on Green Tea Street serves takoyaki with a standard flavor — quite typical — but when combined with the matcha sauce, it becomes an interesting experience. The overall taste is moderate, nothing exceptional, yet it offers a unique twist you won’t find elsewhere. Food is served quickly, though the area is quite touristy and finding a seat around noon can be a bit difficult.
