丸亀製麺Marugame Seimen Uji

Udon noodle restaurant

★ 3.6998 reviews

Marugame Seimen places a noodle-making machine in every one of its shops nationwide to make fresh noodles from flour, then boils them on the spot to deliver that freshly boiled taste. Because "fresh udon is so delicious it's moving." This is something Marugame Seimen's founder experienced firsthand at a noodle mill in Kagawa, the home of sanuki udon. Good udon absorbs water well, and when boiled just right, gives off a lovely aroma of wheat flour, like rice that has just finished cooking.

Is a chain restaurant that freshly hand makes udon noodles live in front you. Their open kitchen makes it interesting to see the udon making process. Also they have a huge selection of fried vegetables meat tempura as a side. They also started serving meat topped udon. Their self service style also makes it convenient to see the food selection.

Because I used it for the half-price kamaage udon service on the 'ichi' day, both the parking lot and the store were crowded, but the staff's guidance was wonderful, and they guided us skillfully so that we couldn't secure seats in advance as often seen in other stores, so we were able to eat smoothly. The staff also helped with the self-service return of tableware; I wish other stores would also implement similar services.

The dining space is very bright and spacious!✨ I like the duck ramen, the broth is good, the noodles are chewy and delicious, and most importantly, the duck meat is fresh, tender, and the softness is just right. The oyster ramen is also above standard~ The staff we met were all a bit shy and introverted, but the service was active and serious!

Served with chipped tableware. It shouldn't be possible not to notice it in a conspicuous part, so they must be continuing to use it even though it's chipped. I will never go again to a restaurant that casually serves chipped tableware.
