We had a fantastic experience at this lovely tea boutique. It’s located next to the Temple in the area with all other tea boutiques, however in this boutique it’s much more peaceful and the teas on offer are of very high quality and rare. The Owners and their team take their time to explain you all the ins and outs of the teas you want to try or buy, very warm, genuine hospitality, we felt right at home. We will definitely come back again, a true gem in beautiful Uji.

A good rest place before or after you go to Byodoin Temple, the supreme matcha was pretty good, the hojicha beer was interesting but it doesn’t have a strong roast tea flavor, it tasted more or less like a regular black beer.

Really loved this tea shop. Accepts credit cards including Visa. Fantastic high quality green tea, very nice people and ambience, and you can buy good tea here too. After I finished my tea they cooked it with sesame so I could eat the tea leaves, delicious!

We got to make our own drinks and were given small matcha mochi on the side. Very nice music and atmosphere.

Really nice teashop in the heart of Uji. Welcoming staff members and amazing drinks/sweets. I would recommend the cream soda and the matcha shaved ice (best Ive had with vanilla ice cream in the middle and red beans on top)
