Delicious food and friendly owners

Today I went to Nagaokakyo for lunch with two students who went to Taiwan with me. Since the tonteki is said to be delicious, I ordered the signature menu for now. I ordered a large portion of rice (manga-mori) 😂 It tastes very homey and delicious 😋 If you add mustard, the flavor changes and it's even better. This costs 1100 yen + 100 yen for a large portion of rice. Great value‼️

It has been a while since my last visit to Maruka Shokudo. I was the first one there at the 11:30 AM opening time on Tuesday. My order was the Tonteki Set Meal (regular 200g, 1,100 yen). The miso soup bowl was a bit smaller, the size of a tea cup. The process involves washing the grilled tonteki with water to remove excess fat, then grilling it again and simmering it in sauce, so it takes quite a bit of time. However, thanks to that extra effort, there is no pork smell, it's light, and the sauce coats it well, making the rice go down easily. And this rice is delicious. The large serving of cabbage also feels like it does a good job. Next time I want to try the Pork Chop with a different sauce. While I was eating, customers kept coming in, and the counter seats on the first floor were full. Group customers were directed to the second floor. I went by scooter, but there are only two parking spaces across from the shop, so it might be difficult if it gets crowded.

The tonteki here is really delicious! The rich sauce makes the rice go down well. The meat is tender and cut into bite-sized pieces, making it easy to eat ⭕️ There is plenty of cabbage, the side dishes are always delicious, and the miso soup is also good. I'm happy that there is parking even though it's near the station. By the way, you can eat it with the same quality even if you take it out.

I saw it on the TV program Fukuaji, and since I happened to be passing through Kyoto, I visited when it opened in the evening. I ordered the Tonteki Set Meal and the Tetchan Tonteki Set Meal. I was surprised to see the grilled meat being washed in running water 👀 Maybe it's to remove excess oil⁉️ After that, the meat was dived back into the sea of special sauce and simmered for a while until done ✨ The combination of the mountain of cabbage and the special sauce is also outstanding‼️ The meat is also tender and extremely delicious 👍 There are 2 parking spaces across from the shop. Inside the shop, there is only a counter. Thank you for the meal 🙏
