I visited around mid-April. The shop was on the edge of a pond near Nagaoka Tenjin. It is a small shop that feels like renovating a house. The seats are about 14 seats? Menu is based on bamboo shoot set, and you can add grilled bamboo shoots and sashimi to it. The price is quite high, but the dishes using plenty of bamboo shoots picked in the morning had almost no bitterness, and I could taste a juicy luxurious feeling. It is only bamboo shoot dishes, but I was very satisfied.

End of March, I used this to enjoy bamboo shoot dishes. There was K-tei famous for bamboo shoot dishes next to the nearby Nagaoka Tenjin, but I chose this because the price was quite good. I don't know much about bamboo shoot dishes in particular, but the bamboo shoot dishes I ate here, of course the ingredients, but also the tableware used were derived from bamboo, and I was able to enjoy it fully including the atmosphere. Although the construction of the shop cannot be said to be good, it is highly recommended because of the outstanding cost performance. Additional note, because I used it at the end of March, I couldn't get grilled bamboo shoots, it was a little too early.

I ate bamboo shoot set, bamboo shoot sashimi set, and grilled bamboo shoot set. It took a while to serve, but the seasoning was elegant and very delicious. The shop has a somewhat worn-out atmosphere, but the tatami room faces Tenmangu and has taste. Because the number of seats is small, it might be better to book depending on the season. (Tatami room is about 1 4-person seat x 1, 2-person seat x 2) It seems there is no parking lot dedicated to the shop.

A very small shop with a rather dirty atmosphere around the entrance, but the location at the window seats overlooking Hachijo-ga-ike Pond is great; I imagine the irises and Japanese irises must be beautiful if you come around May. The menu for this season is just one option: a 1,000 yen bento. It takes quite a while from entering the shop until the food is served. The bento was lightly seasoned and nothing special, but it was tasty. I would like to come again during bamboo shoot season.

I went during the cherry blossom season before the Kirishima azaleas. I wanted to eat bamboo shoots and called Kinsuitei but couldn't get a reservation at my preferred time, so I stopped by here without much expectation. I was asked if I had a reservation, and I said no, but they told me I would have to wait quite a while. There was one tatami table open, so even though I had to wait, I could sit down while doing so. It did take nearly an hour, but both the outside and inside of the shop looked old and couldn't be called clean; however, I could relax as if I were visiting a relative's house, and the lady running the shop felt like a familiar aunt. And then, the all-bamboo-shoot meal. I was moved by the cooking because I hadn't realized you could enjoy bamboo shoots in so many different ways, and every preparation was delicious. While I was eating, several locals came by to buy bamboo shoot rice. By the way, on the way back I passed by Kinsuitei and was quite shocked to see a server carrying trays of pre-plated hassun and desserts without any covers or plastic wrap across a gravel path crowded with tourists to get to the private rooms. Including that, if you're after bamboo shoots, I think Fujinotana is better.
