Chitose Chaya is one of the four "Chie no Mochi" (Mochi of Wisdom) teahouses that has continued since the 3rd year of Genroku. Our shop is committed to the old-fashioned taste by using 100% local glutinous rice and "hiki-an" where azuki beans are ground with their skins so that the flavor of the azuki beans remains firmly.

The BEST noodle restaurant in 天橋立! The place is clean and the staff are very nice. Both the cold soba and udon are tasty. Free cold/hot water or tea are provided too. Highly recommended!

Unexpectedly amazing restaurant. We stopped by for a quick bite and got recharged before continuing our trip, but everything we ordered is so delicious.

A must try if you are mochi and red bean lover! One box of three are around 300 yen. There are other bigger size if you want to buy as souvenirs. The mochi is very soft and smell of rice. Anko was very fine with just-right sweetness.
