On the left as you enter the "Sengen Choja no Yakata" building is the "Kitamaebune Materials Museum". Admission is by donation. Although it is a small space, you can learn about the prosperity of Yura in the Edo period and the Kitamaebune ships through panels and valuable relics. Although they are photo panels, you can see all the ship ema dedicated to Konpira Shrine, Tamaji Inari Shrine, and Terukuni Inari Shrine in Yura. Also, you can see valuable relics up close, such as the actual posting of the Dajokan proclamation from the early Meiji period. You can also get a Yura walking map and clean toilets are available, which is something to be grateful for. Also, on the right side of the building is "Anjutei" where you can have light meals, "Anju Footbath" to heal the fatigue of walking, and a corner where you can buy local vegetables, fruits, and specialty products, so be sure to stop by.
