I stopped by on the way back from sightseeing at Yuhigaura Onsen There was a little time before the monorail, and I thought it might be cold, but since I didn't have much time I decided to go up by lift... it wasn't as cold as I expected I could have this superb view all to myself, so I thought you can enjoy the scenery more than from the monorail When you get to the top there are lots of platforms for looking between your legs and you can enjoy the superb view from anywhere When you look through your legs, Amanohashidate looks like a dragon Unlike in the old days there are handrails, so if you hold on tight you can use them without worry This is one thing I really want you to experience And the specialty is kawara throwing You buy them yourself and, while praying to ward off bad luck, throw them so they pass through the 〇 or ♥ It's really hard to get them through I couldn't get a single one through in 3 tries This is another event I'd like you to try There was also an observation deck where you can see from even higher up and a Ferris wheel, so those with time can enjoy even more superb views The weather was nice so stopping by was fun, and I want to go back for a rematch

This is "Hiryukan", one of the Four Great Views of Amanohashidate (apparently there's now one more, making it the Five Great Views). Among the Four Great Views, I think it's probably the most famous, offers the most dynamic view of Amanohashidate, and is the most crowded spot. The observation area is at the top after going up from the foot of the mountain by lift or ropeway, but you can also see the flying dragon's shape well from the lift on the way down. It's located in a small amusement park called "Amanohashidate View Land", but I think it's worth visiting just to see this view. If you ride the Ferris wheel or the cycle car in the amusement park, you can look down from an even higher vantage point. You can also enjoy a lovely view from the free "Hiryu Kairo" promenade? pedestrian bridge? (However, there are lines and congestion, so timing your photos may be tricky)

The ticket machine was broken. I used a translator to tell the staff, but they just said there was nothing wrong with the machine and wouldn't give a refund. Someone else also had their money swallowed three times and got no refund either. Terrible.
