The dashi broth is the best! I was healed by the meat udon and tempura bits and egg bowl. I had lunch at an udon shop in Hama, Maizuru City. This time I ordered "Meat Udon" and "Tempura bits and egg bowl". In the meat udon, the clear and gentle Kansai-style dashi broth, with the umami of beef well dissolved, was very delicious. The noodles also had just the right amount of chewiness, and I could slurp them up. And the set "Tempura bits and egg bowl" was exquisite. The tempura bits that absorbed the dashi broth were gently wrapped in egg, and when you put it in your mouth, the umami spreads out. It's simple but has a deep taste, and it goes perfectly with udon. The atmosphere of the shop is also calm, and I was able to enjoy the meal slowly. A recommended shop when you want to feel warm with delicious dashi broth.
View on GoogleI had meat chinese soba and egg bowl. Since I brought a small child, I was allowed into the tatami room. If the car is small, it seems there is 1 parking space behind the shop if you ask. The food seems to be made with proper dashi, it was delicious. The onigiri looked very delicious. The noodles of the meat chinese soba were like old-fashioned yellow noodles, delicious. The tempura bits were shrimp-flavored, and the egg bowl made with that tempura was also delicious. Food made with effort, I was satisfied. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleA small restaurant standing gracefully on the outskirts of the Higashi-Maizuru arcade shopping street. When you pass through the noren curtain, an elegant landlady welcomes you. During the day, they serve set meals centered on noodles. I ordered set 2 of meat udon (regular). The dashi that works well with the soft Kyoto-style udon matches well. Set 2 comes with a tempura bits and egg bowl. This was also a tempura bowl from an udon shop where you can feel the flavor of the dashi. The inside of the shop is also clean and it's a shop where you can eat very comfortably! I want to visit again at night. ----------------------------------------- Visited again at night in mid-March of the 7th year of Reiwa. Visited right after opening and was able to enjoy sake and food slowly! Here are the items I had. ・Otooshi ・Bincho tuna with grated yam ・Wagyu beef and tofu stew ・Shrimp and vegetable kakiage ・Dashi rolled egg All were delicious, but the wagyu beef and tofu stew and shrimp and vegetable kakiage were exquisite. The food has a gentle seasoning that shows the owner's personality. A reasonable shop with deliciousness that does not lose to kappo in Kyoto City. Excluding sake costs, 4 dishes were about 4,000 yen. A really comfortable shop. I will visit again.
View on GoogleMy favorite shop because all the dishes are delicious🤩 It seems some people mistake it for an udon shop, but the tempura and small dishes are too delicious! Beef tendon stew is soft and the oil is just right, and above all the seasoning is god-like, recommended! Fish dishes are of course too delicious... Tempura is also the best way to fry, it doesn't make you feel sick from the oil, so you can eat a lot, and personally I love the unusual onigiri^ ^ Lunch udon is of course delicious, but other small dishes are exquisite, so it was recommended^ ^ I definitely want to go again!
View on GoogleVisited at night. I thought it was a shop where udon was the main dish, but it wasn't, it was like a kappo. Squid came as an appetizer, then I ordered fried taro and grilled nodoguro with salt, fried tofu in broth, and I was given sesame milk tofu as a service. That day my stomach was a little bad, and it was cold outside and I felt tired, but the squid was firm and delicious, I was able to raise my spirits in a good way at the beginning, and after that I refreshed my fatigue with the warm and flavorful fried taro and beer! After my stomach was full and my body started to warm up, while enjoying nodoguro with sake, I settled down with the fried tofu in broth. The fried taro was so delicious that I ordered more, and finally I finished with the sesame milk tofu that has a smooth texture and sesame aroma. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy Japanese food and sake slowly in Higashi-Maizuru!
