Not a lot of things to do, good for kids
View on GoogleI went for the first time without any particular expectations, but on the 2nd floor there was an exhibition imagining a passenger ship. On the 3rd floor there was a space for children to play a little and a place to go out to the deck. On the 1st floor there was an exhibition about energy and the Maizuru Power Plant, which was fun. I couldn't see the planetarium because the timing wasn't right, but if I have a chance I would like to see it. Eating and drinking were prohibited. Only on the 3rd floor there was a vending machine, so I think that space is okay. Nearby there was a small park with an octopus slide and a sandy beach for children.

View on Google2026.6.4 (Thursday) Before heading to Otaru from Maizuru Port at night, I did some sightseeing in Maizuru. Is it okay that this is free...? I wandered around alone for nearly an hour. It's quite interesting.
View on GoogleThe exhibits are different on each floor, and the entrance floor also introduces Maizuru's tourist spots. The explanation about nuclear power plants in the basement was also very easy to understand. However, the location is bad. If it were on the red brick side, I could understand, but why in such a remote place?
