This is 'GORO SKY CAFE nanako' named after the cafeteria 'FM Maizuru 77.5 (Nanako) MHz' in Goro-ga-dake Park, Maizuru City. Why not enjoy lunch or tea time while looking at the scenery of the four seasons from the all-glass shop overlooking Maizuru Bay?

Incredible panoramic views, and tasty dessert drinks. This café is located right next to Goro Sky Tower, and has some amazing views of Maizuru Bay. We had already eaten lunch so we just got a dessert coffee, but it was really good. The lunch menu looked really interesting, most memorably including a burger in the shape of the sky tower, as well as the local Maizuru curry (which is based on a naval recipe). The best part about the café were the views. And the tables are strategically set up so that all the tables have views of the Bay down below. The restaurant did a great job with COVID precautions as well, separating all the tables with clear dividers that don't obstruct your vision in any way. It was very clean inside and the staff were very friendly. Its a bit of a hike to reach this location, and it's probably best done by car. The road leading up to the sky tower is long and windy (and climbs quite a bit uphill, so much so that my ears popped!). But the views are definitely worth it if you are in the area. I don't think there is a better spot in Maizuru that will give you a scope of the entire city (not even the hiking mountains in the area have such good views). And no matter when you come, you are guaranteed to get great pictures. Just a note on the lunch menu, while there are some very interesting options, there is no real option for vegetarians (except maybe the apple pie, which isn't lunch). I don't drink coffee that often, but what I ordered cost 580 yen. It came with a chocolate drizzle, espresso shot, and whipped cream. If you are visiting Maizuru, this location will give you the best views and scope of the whole area, and you can almost make out the crane shape of the land as it wraps around the bay.

A cafe located right next to Goro Sky Tower. Since it is on Mt. Goro, the view is good. Like Maizuru, it is a unique cafe with sales of goods related to the Coast Guard and Maritime Self-Defense Force, menus named after destroyers, and collaboration menus with Kantai Collection. Sit in a seat with the staff's guidance, and order orally while looking at the menu. You can enjoy delicious food with a wonderful view. After finishing the meal, pay at the cash register near the entrance. Since meat and potato croquettes originated in Maizuru, and the price is affordable, I ordered it. Freshly fried and crispy, and the inside is fluffy. It was a satisfying deliciousness.

This is a cafe restaurant next to Goro Sky Tower. There is a Kantai Collection menu, and it seems popular. Also, the Maritime Self-Defense Force curry🍛 doing a stamp rally seems to be a selling point, unfortunately😢 it was sold out. But, the regular curry was also delicious. It's good to prepare various tempting menus. Since it's on top of a mountain like this, it's inevitable that the price is high. I'm not here for Kantai Collection, so I don't mind. I went after 14:00, but it was full of remaining lunch customers, and I waited 40 minutes before being guided to a seat. Rather than many rules, it feels like there are not enough staff to rotate. Since takeout is also handled at the same cash register, it is natural that there will be stagnation when crowded… On sunny days, there is a high possibility that it will be very crowded and wait, so it might be better to come earlier than lunch on that day.

I received the destroyer (Myoko?) menu beef curry set. The curry was very delicious, and serving on an aluminum tray also had a good atmosphere. Together with the beautiful view of Maizuru Bay visible from the window, I was able to enjoy it in a fun atmosphere like a travel destination. The customer service of the young staff was also polite and courteous without breaking the bright atmosphere, and it was a very pleasant meal.

I went to eat beef curry served on the Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer 'Myoko' (limited quantity, 15 servings on weekdays, 30 servings on Saturdays and Sundays). It was a little spicy, but not too spicy. It's delicious!
