If you want to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine and high-end yakiniku in Gion, Kyoto, we recommend [Yakiniku no Meimon Tendan Gion Main Store]. Tendan is famous for its yakiniku style eaten with a golden-shining clear broth dipping sauce. The dipping sauce that matches the fat of high-quality meat and gives a refreshing finish has been made in-house since the founding of Tendan. The luxurious interior is recommended for family gatherings, dates, and business scenes. At Tendan Gion Main Store, we have spacious private rooms to support customers who want to entertain important people. In addition, there are VIP rooms and 33 affiliated parking lots that can be used for free...

I made a reservation at this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. From the moment you enter the hotel lobby and announce your arrival, you can feel the strong attention to detail and care for guests. When the elevator opens at the restaurant floor, you are warmly welcomed by the staff. You’re asked to remove your shoes before being guided to your private room, which adds to the overall experience. The setting is beautiful, and the quality of the meat was excellent. Although the staff spoke limited English, it was more than enough to communicate comfortably. With a mix of simple English, a bit of Japanese, and a few glasses of sake, everything went smoothly throughout the evening. It is on the expensive side, but the overall experience truly makes it worth it. My wife and I were very happy with our dinner and would gladly recommend it for a special occasion.

This place is the best Yakiniku I ever had in Kyoto. The food, service and atmosphere were beyond expectation. I recommend you should make a reservation in advance. Today I choose the 4,800 yen course. Everything was delicious even the Kimchi and side dish. Definitely worth the price.

Reservations here do not mean you get a better table. You get the table in the back with screaming kids and large families. Food was decent. Like a New York Korean bbq without the bonchon unless a set was ordered. Sets are for 4 people. Portions are on the small size. This place was recommended by a local. Korean bbq must be the latest fad. Many locals there for an upscale dinner. Interesting rendition of Korean bbq. Grateful for the NYC establishments!

Hotel helped to make reservation for me alone. Assigned a table for 4 for me. There is an English menu that able to view. After reading through menu, just point it to the service staff. They know very little English. Can use google translate to communicate with them. Meat quality is no need to discuss: just simply good. Even egg soup is good! Just come and eat!

We came here without any planning but definitely one of the best yakiniku we had in Kyoto! Carpark provided, nice service and great food of course. Most of the waiter and waitress can't speak English but they tried their very best to translate for us! Foreigners menu are provided with English, Korean and Simplified Chinese. We ordered the top course and the food quantity are enough for meat lover like us! Def recommend.
