Lovely family run restaurant, definitely recommend visiting. It seems as though the restaurant is run by the chef, his wife and daughter, they were all extremely friendly and hardworking. We didn’t have to wait for a table or make a reservation. I believe there are also two floors. We had the chef’s special & it was extremely fresh and tasty. Worth it for the price, I think we had around 6 courses for 3,800 yen each (this is including the appetiser which made up for the 500 yen table charge each). It was salad, sashimi, tempura, sushi and one dish which was grilled fish (I asked for a substitute and got duck loin, which was so delicious!!). We also had miso soup and then a little biscuit with tea at the end, which was a nice addition! Great value for money. We enjoyed watching the chef cook our food, never having to wait longer than a few minutes for the next plate. The daughter was also very attentive and always smiling. Would recommend if you want a nice family run food experience in Japan!!!!

Our best meal during our 3 week trip in Japan. Food was so delicious and prepared with great care. Fish was extremely fresh. We tried 3 different sake, all excellent. It’s just an older couple and a waitress who were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Despite the fact that we do not speak Japanese the communication was easy thanks to the incredible nice waitress (and Google translate). Outstanding value for the price

An interesting place, just 5 mins walk away from Kyoto Main Station. It is just as though you are dining at the home of a very close friend. Had the omakase set. Some dishes are authentically their family's dishes, not commonly found in other restaurants. A good find!

Great food, amazing service, staff was so friendly and informative. Chef does an amazing job. Drinks are tastefully strong. Went with my mom after exploring the train station. I highly recommend the omakase and a lemon sour.

I had the chef’s choice course. Everything was artistically prepared and tasted great. Fish was fresh. The tempura reminded me of the tempura my Japanese mother made when I was growing up. Love the peaceful atmosphere with soft music. This family run restaurant is a hidden diamond. The price was reasonable. The chef, his wife and daughter were all friendly and provided excellent service.
