Kyoto can be very stimulating, so it was nice to duck in here and have a sweet treat in a quaint, peaceful setting. If you dine in, you must order one thing per person. The drinks are a tad pricey but come with a small snack. Unfortunately both the green tea and black sugar soy milk we ordered were too sweet. Service was very nice.

Loved their mitarashi dangos, the honey and soy sauce really come through. The matcha coated warabi mochi is tasty, soft and not too chewy. Their matcha latte can be improved, not enough flavors come through. The shop is so small, you might miss it when walking along the street.

The atmosphere is nostalgic more than expect. Maybe there were a group of student dropping by. The decorations is wooden and old painting really cute. I visited here on pre winter season so I had mochi-red bean soup and my mom had some kind of matcha ice cream with jelly and mochi. Grilled mochi is the best ! The red bean soup was a little too sweet for me but still delicious! Like real nostalgic sweet not a bad sweet :) My mom also love her dish too. She finished so fast. She loves that here provide range selection of Japanese sweet. They also served you some hot tea.

I stopped by here to enjoy some delicious Japanese sweets. It was a small store but I came by during a bit of a lull so did not have to wait. The service was fast and efficient. The desserts were perfect - not overly sweet and had a great chewy texture. I would love to come again to try a few different desserts that they had.

We had their mitarashi dango (grilled dango) and the Uji matcha shaved ice; both were incredible and unique. They gave us extra matcha syrup for pouring on top of the shaved ice if we needed more. Highly recommend with some hot tea; my favorite is roasted green tea with matcha shaved ice. It’s a place to have good, authentic Kyoto sweets. I wouldn’t linger here long, though; the line can go out the door and there’s not a lot of seats.
