Cute mom and pop shop! There's an English menu upon request. The servers were so nice! We ordered boiled octopus in garlic butter as an appetizer, a seafood creamy linguine (so good!), a creamy bacon broccoli penne, and tiramisu. We loved the pasta and tiramisu!
View on GoogleGreat cute little Italian spot in Kyoto, with amazing pasta! It transports you to a different age. Its a shame they didn't have pizzas available when we went.. they looked amazing in photos. Also wanted to call out the red wine, so good. Highly recommend!
View on GoogleA true 'mom & pop' Italian restaurant in Kyoto with an unpretentious, laid-back atmosphere and delicious food. The service was friendly and efficient and the prices super reasonable in an otherwise expensive area. Recommended.
View on GoogleWe were lucky that we tried to get in on a day (a national holiday) when there weren’t many customers—something that almost never happens. The previous 2 years when we had tried to get a table, we were told the place was full. Anyway, for future reference one should always make a reservation to ensure one can get a table. The food, especially, the shrimp cream pasta that I had, was good. The chef is a gentleman of advanced age so he does take time to cook the dishes you order. We had a chance to actually meet him briefly when we left. He speaks excellent English…The place has been around for decades so getting to eat there was like a chance to go to a historical place as the interior probably hasn’t changed much since it opened .
View on GoogleSuper cute little place a great combo of 80s Japan and Italian trattoria. The little old lady who served us picked up that we weren't Japanese (we're Asian Americans who don't particularly look like English speakers at first sight) and offered us an English menu. The food is pretty good and the ambiance is super cozy and chill. We had some pasta, wine and and a couple anti-pasta the olives and octopus. I can't complain about this place, it's cute and I'm full! And the price is pretty affordable.
