Very disappointing experience. I was served xiao long bao with completely raw pork inside not slightly undercooked, but 100% raw. I took one bite and had to spit it out immediately. I know what cooked pork tastes like, and this was clearly unsafe. What made it worse was the staff trying to insist it was cooked when I raised the issue. It felt like they were dismissing something that was blatantly obvious. Only after I insisted they check with the kitchen did they take it back, then returned to apologise and cancel the dish confirming there was an issue all along. The dish itself was only about ¥450, but our total bill was around ¥15,000, and this completely ruined the experience. The rest of the food was okay, but nothing worth coming back for. I’ve had better sukiyaki elsewhere and don’t think they worth it. Serving raw meat is unacceptable, and the way this was handled was even worse. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
View on GoogleJust had dinner there with my parents tonight. The food was sooooo great!! The menu has a decent amount of choices of meats and drinks. The Wagyu beef melts in the mouth. Staff were friendly and always greeted us with smiles. The price was also incredibly fair (we spent over ¥28k for 3 people, but we all had bigger appetites than most so that may not be a fair reference lol). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
View on GoogleWe reserved a table only 15 minutes before dinner and it worked out perfectly. The restaurant is on the second floor, and we were greeted with beautiful smiles and very kind staff. They explained everything clearly and gave us friendly instructions on how to enjoy sukiyaki. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the wagyu, and the whole experience felt special from start to finish. Highly recommend. I would like to note that this place seems more for drinking maybe a good spot to come with a bunch of friends and family and enjoy some beer and good food
View on GoogleHave to try sukiyaki if you’re in Japan - this was our first time and it was delicious. They offer an English menu - you start off by ordering a set and then adding additional meat. The set is charged per person (I think). There’s also a table charge of 220 per person (fee plus tax) which seems reasonable given the friendly service. There was an all you can drink option which we didn’t partake in but a good deal for 2 hours (you finish a glass and ask for another). Really enjoyed our time here; highly recommend. The place is on the second floor of the building (the restaurant at street level is a tempura place).
View on GoogleWonderful place to get wagyu sukiyaki without breaking the bank. Try the Tateyama sake too! We did the sukiyaki for two. The menu is a bit dense (at least for English speakers) but I promise it’s worth it.
