The last order is at 18:30. "Kyoto Arashiyama Cha-meika Enman Mochi-ten", which is a 1-minute walk from Arashiyama, Kyoto, is a new-sensation Japanese confectionery shop founded in the Reiwa era where you can enjoy Japanese sweets and tea at your leisure, centered on its signature product, Hineri Mochi. Hineri Mochi is made by mixing fresh cream into high-quality white miso that is also used in top-class restaurants in Kyoto, and carefully kneading it over a long time. On the quiet eaves a little way into the alley, there is a quiet veranda (engawa) where you can take a break while enjoying matcha and sweets. Inside the shop, we prepare seasonal sweets such as Hineri Mochi, tea caramel, matcha latte, matcha smoothie, and shaved ice. As a cafe where you can enjoy matcha and sweets between strolls in kimonos or sightseeing dates, with Kyoto tea shops and...

Nice matcha smoothie with ice cream. The ice cream seems to be with caramel flavour and fits well with the matcha flavour. It is also nice to sit outside the cafe and sip the latte. One will enjoy the quietness. The attendants are friendly, diligent and helpful. Appreciate.

You need to proactively mention if you want to eat inside or outside. There are certain menus that aren’t meant for dine-in. Wish they said this at the beginning. It was a bit confusing. When asked about it, the customer service wasn’t aslo that pleasant. Food-wise, the matcha drink was good. I believe they curated it for the foreign taste buds because although a bit bitter, it was also creamy. Not a fan of the mochi desserts as they were a bit bland. However, I do acknowledge that for the Japanese taste buds, not too sweet is a good thing.

Lovely place on the side of the main road, perfect for a little getaway from the crowds. I got matcha shaved ice. It came with warm tea and the flavour of matcha was really pronounced. I can definitely recommend this place :)

A great place to cool down. The shave ice was very good and the presentation was excellent. There is a restroom and is only takeout for ice cream.

An absolute must-try! Visiting on a 35-degree summer day made this café feel like the perfect escape. The cool, beautifully decorated interior was a welcome retreat from the heat. The staff were warm, polite, and attentive, and both the drinks and desserts were absolutely spot on. I would happily come back again.
