Had a wonderful meal here during our trip to Kyoto in April 2026. We had a late night reservation and were the only ones in the restaurant so the setting felt very cozy and personalized. Yamada, the owner/chef prepared a delicious and visually appealing meal for our family of four. He and his staff were very personable and accommodating. Additionally, we celebrated the birthdays of our two kids so that made the night extra special. Food was delicious; service was outstanding. Worth the splurge! A very memorable dining experience and fantastic way to end our trip to Japan!

The most beautiful atmosphere, The chef was amazing such lovely conversation between us. The chef doesn’t speak English very well so make sure you have a translator. Everything tasted amazing and was cooked to perfection. I would come here over and over again

Our first experience with Kobe beef, so didn’t know what to expect. The service was great, and the beef was excellent. The chef prepared the meal at table side and the whole course was tasty. Tucked away in the second floor, it beats the busy crowded street stores and we were able to enjoy our meal in an intimate setting. I would recommend, and it has good pricing.

We had a dinner for two people with one Kobe set and one wagyu set (to also try each other's steaks). Meat was incredible! Very quiet atmosphere with a classy vibe. The personell is very kind. Very good sake too :)

Wonderful experiences we reserved through our hotel the thousand Kyoto. Chef was super energetic and so good at his craft and on top of that excellent at English so we had very little trouble asking him for recommendations. Steak was cooked to perfection. And the potato soup , Ong out of this world! I wish I could drink that every day Thank you again for accomplishing us and the hospitality!. The team took wonderful care of us.
