My husband and I have been here in Kyoto for over a week, there is no shortage of amazing food so we have not repeated restaurants, but this place was so tasty and so good we had to go back a second time. The wagyu bowl donburi was just stellar, we also had Udon, soba noodles, tempura donburi, every dish hit the mark, it's a little hidden in the main street because it looks like it closed sometimes (as good Japanese restaurants do) until you slide the door. We were impressed!
View on GoogleWonderful meal - loved that you can choose to get smaller portion udons and add a small portion of rice. There’s udon w soup, cold udon and dipping udon, you can add a wide variety of sets like adding tempura, Karage etc. came right at 12pm and avoided the crowds of people who just finished the arashiyama forest.
View on GoogleFound this on Google review. Waited a while to get table. We had udon with chicken tempura, beef tendon udon abd currey udon. All is delicious. For chicken tempura, didnt find it special. Meat is a bit hard ...
View on GoogleOverall dining experience is FAIR. This is a retrospective posting for Dec 2024. We parked at the ¥1500 car parking PARK as photo denoted and walked down the ‘tourists’ street. The Udon is above average and there is a choice of 0.5 portion, 1-portion or larger portion (a tad daunting for 1st timer as we are unable to comprehend what’s a 1-portion). We ordered both the dry version comes with dipping sauce and the soup version. ¥1,100 per pax serving set, thereabout with tax. This is a Tourists’ spot restaurant but unfortunately the serving waitresses speaks little English. Notwithstanding, worth a try at Kyoto, Arashiyama.
View on GoogleI know this is an Udon shop, but they have the best Fried Chicken I've ever had. My boyfriend ordered some, all of us tried it, and then we all ordered some too. That good. All of the Udon and drinks were also very delicious, and they had a limited menu for take out that we brought back to friends in the hotel. Would recommend!
