Ordered the house special set, and it was delicious! All ingredients tasted very fresh, the food was so tasty and flavourful, and I felt like I could taste the love and hard work poured into making everything. You can really tell that they take pride in their food. Massive meal for only ¥1500 too, so good value for money. The staff were lovely, and the restaurant had an authentic Japanese vibe, with floor seating and everything. Super cute, would definitely recommend!!🥰

Local place that has the traditional food and atmosphere + many soba noodles combinations. Their mixed meal set gives a taste of japanese cousine, are their varriety of the menu gives a choice for majority of people. Staff is super friendly and makes you feel very welcomed!

If nothing else, do yourself a favour and grab an onigiri to-go (180¥). This was the best onigiri I’ve had. Rice was chewy, generous fillings, delicious seaweed and they make it fresh. I’d recommend the one with bonito flakes. I dined in for lunch in the lovely tatami area. Got the Soba set for 1,400¥, was delicious too. Got 2 onigiris for the road as well. Hope I can visit Kurama, and Nagomiya Kotengu again!

I had the udon set meal and a seperate dish of soba and it was fantastic!! The udon was soft and slightly chewy and had the perfect harmony with the green onion, freah ginger, daikon and fried tempura batter. The soba was another level, i would go as far as to say the best soba ive ever had. The vibe of the restaraunt was perfect, it was a very calm traditonal setting under the backdrop of the mountains. If you dont visit this amazing quaint little restaraunt you are missing out big time !!! The ladies running it are fantastic aswell !! Wow.
