Nice small rock garden. It's 1200 Yen and you need to book in advance (you can do same day booking by email which is nice). It's up to you to decide if it's worth the money or not.

Did meditation with head Monk. Totally original. Where other shrines and temples have burnt and rebuilt this Zen temple and garden is small but incredibly old and original.

Wonder how it can be called an art museum. We paid 1000 yen and only saw a small garden without English explanation. No artworks are shown.

It’s a beautiful garden and interesting house. It’s a shame you aren’t able to go inside the house but beautiful to see from the outside nonetheless 🤍

Very unwelcoming. Too expensive. The garden is beautiful, but the visit is all about the explanation of the garden. No explanation in english is given at all. Not even a written paper, which is also only in Japanese. Nevertheless, the guides English works very well, when it comes to explain all that is not allowed. Don’t go, if you are not fluent in Japanese. Also don’t go with children. There are many more welcoming places in Kyoto.
