My family and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Mercy Vegan Factory in Kyoto. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The lady who served us was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home throughout our meal. The food was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor. As you can see from the photo, even the appetizers were thoughtfully prepared, offering a delightful variety of textures and tastes. It’s rare to find vegan cuisine that is both so creative and satisfying, but Mercy Vegan Factory truly exceeded our expectations. The ambiance was equally impressive—peaceful, cozy, and elegant, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing family meal. Every detail, from the food to the service to the atmosphere, reflected great care and passion.🙏🏻 We absolutely loved everything about our visit and are so grateful for the memorable experience. Loved the shoujin curry and rice. Matcha pudding was also pretty good as well as the syrup. Liked the soft texture of rice and crispy texture of veggies in the Gimbap. Freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. Didn’t enjoy the Hand rolled sushi as much.

The food was just amazing especially the vegan kurumafu! Also the egg sando was so nice to try and I am really happy as a vegan for this opportunity! The cinnamon roll was warm and also tasty. Will come back again cause the service there was also so friendly and the cook is amazing

I love Kuramafu now, it's the best faux-meat substitute i've ever tried and makes incredibly convincing and tasty karaage when soaked in kombu broth beforehand too. The food was all super tasty, the egg-sandwich was so convincing and good, i almost wish we ordered more of it. The matcha pudding was nice and the bibimbap was also very good. The only downside is that the place was completely empty (and hard to find), we came at lunch time and it was dead silent and kind of awkward. The staff stared at us, waiting for us to get up and order and then seemed startled and awkward taking our order/paying, but maybe there was a language barrier issue. This wasn't the cheapest place to go for food, but we ate a lot because we wanted to try lots of things.

When you’re in Kyoto on the prowl for vegan this is the spot! I just about ordered everything on the menu! I LOVED the sweet and sour cauliflower, the egg sandwich, and the potato salad! My mom’s favorite was the soup of the day a corn soup and the ginger salad the dressing must be homemade she said the best ginger dressing she’s ever had. They have alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available too. It’s located downstairs in a cozy environment! It’s so nice to eat somewhere veggie friendly and not have to worry about cross contamination. Excellent place!
