Mabrur Halal Dining in Kyoto was exactly what I was hoping to find after days of eating mostly Japanese food. The halal Bangladeshi and Indian dishes were full of flavor, and the butter chicken, naan, biryani, and kabuli pilau all stood out. The portions were generous, the mango lassi was nicely balanced, and the food felt comforting and authentic 🇧🇩🇮🇳 The restaurant itself was clean, organized, and surprisingly calm, with a cozy setting and a nice street view. I also really appreciated the thoughtful prayer room and ablution area — that made the place feel especially welcoming for Muslim travelers. On top of that, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the meal. A place I’d happily return to again in Kyoto.
View on GoogleMy sister and I had been fasting that day and were looking for an authentic halal restaurant to break our fast in the evening. After a long day, we were craving something flavorful, spicy, and comforting—and this place was exactly what we were looking for. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and truly authentic. It was exactly what we had been craving all day. What made the experience even more special was the hospitality. The service was incredibly warm and friendly, and the owner was exceptionally kind. When he found out that we had been fasting, he generously treated us to some jalebi for dessert. He also shared a beautiful story about how, in his hometown in Bangladesh, people often gather together after fasting to enjoy tea and jalebi. It’s these small acts of kindness and personal connections that make a dining experience unforgettable. Thank you for the wonderful food, the warm hospitality, and the lovely conversation. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic halal food in Kyoto! 😊✨🍽️
View on GoogleIn middle of Kyoto, a respite for Bangladeshi folks and anyone else who wants to enjoy authentic Bangladeshi and middle eastern food . Food brought back memory of childhood comfort food. The ambience, hospitality is exactly what you would receive at any Bangladeshi home. We are ever so grateful for the hosts for an excellent work. The lady who manages everything is an amazing hosts. I will come back to Kyoto just for this food. We were born and brought up in Bangladesh and live in California. Even we don’t have any restaurant like this is California. A true gem!
View on GoogleWhat an amazing first experience. 🤍 I’m travelling from the UK in Kyoto for the first time, was recommended this place by my brother, he sent a picture of his food and simply said “probably the best food I’ve had here!” - so I came the same day! Ordered the butter chicken with garlic cheese naan, and wow they did not disappoint! This is my go to order I’ve had at many UK restaurants (Akbars / Lalas / Internationals) but wow this was far better than all the ones I’ve had in the UK! I always ask for extra cheese inside my naan & none of the UK restaurants manage to do it right but this at Mabrur was perfection!! Exactly how a garlic cheese naan should be. Honestly I am so pleasantly surprised, the food was just delicious. At the end of a long tiring day of exploring and travelling, it was such a hearty yummy meal. Very generous portion too. I was on my own but it was still very comfortable. The staff, the lady and the gentlemen who seated and served me were so incredibly courteous and polite - they made my whole experience! Lovely people. I was given complimentary soup, and also complementary dessert at the end! Outstanding customer service. Truly. Anyone visiting Kyoto looking for great halal food with this cuisine, definitely check this out. 💯 Thank you so much for a lovely dinner experience 😊⭐️
View on GoogleI had lunch at Halal Mabrur Dining during my trip to Kyoto, and it was such a lovely experience! As a Muslim traveler, finding a good halal restaurant while traveling in Japan can sometimes be challenging, so I was really happy to discover this place. The food was delicious and well-seasoned, with generous portions and a comforting taste. Everything was served beautifully, and I really appreciated being able to enjoy a proper Japanese meal while feeling confident about the halal ingredients. The restaurant itself was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. They made the whole dining experience feel comfortable and enjoyable ✨🌟
