Coming from Sydney Australia, I really missed drinking barista poured coffee during my one month holidays. This place really gives you one of the best coffees Kyoto has to offer. The young tall handsome guy makes great coffee. You won’t disappoint. 👍🏼
View on GoogleHad an amazing experience at M Stand Coffee! 🌸 Their Sakura Latte is an absolute must-try — perfectly balanced, lightly sweet, and beautifully captures the essence of cherry blossom season. The presentation was just as impressive as the taste, making it totally Instagram-worthy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely one of the best seasonal drinks I’ve had in Japan. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re a fan of unique lattes!
View on GoogleThe best coffee in Kyoto. Far better than Starbucks or Tullys or any others I tried. Unfortunately I only tasted it on my last day in Kyoto. Wish I had tried it earlier. And for Aussie tourists they also serve a flat white. Which many others don’t. This is takeaway only.
View on GoogleThe Kyoto matcha here is one of those small, quiet pleasures that earns its 600 yen without argument. This is the first overseas outpost of M Stand, a Shanghai-born coffee brand whose name literally stands for "Mind Stand," a nod to living life on your own terms (Citynewsservice) . That confidence comes through in the cup. The matcha is smooth and genuinely deep in flavour, none of the dusty, thin quality you get from tourist-trap versions nearby. It has real body to it, almost more of a slow-rolling earthiness than a sharp bitter punch, and it finishes cleanly. The order-to-hand time is remarkable, under five minutes on a busy morning, with baristas working efficiently in a compact, beautifully designed black-and-charcoal stand. The aesthetic is all minimalist cool: dark wood, stark signage, open to the street. Service is swift and wordless in the best Japanese way. No fuss, no upselling, just your drink done properly and handed over. At 600 yen, it's mid-range for Kyoto's increasingly strong specialty coffee scene and absolutely worth it. This is a to-go stop for a well executed matcha coffee on a city walk, not a sit-down destination.
View on GoogleM Stand Coffee - Shijo Kawaramachi is a hidden gem in Kyoto! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly their clean Americano coffee—it was perfectly brewed, with a rich flavor that was both smooth and refreshing. The service was exceptional; the staff were attentive and knowledgeable, making sure my experience was nothing short of delightful. What truly sets M Stand apart is the incredible value for money. You get top-notch quality without breaking the bank. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or just looking for a cozy spot to relax, this cafeteria is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
