A hidden gem where you can order obanzai (home cooked meals/side dishes that are commonly eaten in Kyoto). The menu changes every day as Obanzai are usually made with local/seasonal ingredients that are readily available.

Hands down the best food I had in Kyoto. The only place I went to more than once while I visited Japan. The owner was lovely and tried to make good conversation with us even though we had a significant language barrier. I really enjoyed eating here and if I ever come back to Japan I will eat here again! Thank you for the wonderful service. 😊

Even tho some think otherwise, the food, the atmosphere is wholesome, natural and and staff are very friendly. All the food are home cooked and very heartwarming. The price is incredibly reasonable and you can get different types of alcohol for a very cheap price. It was my first time to Kyoto and going to this place make me love Kyoto cuisine very much.

This is a cosy place.I love the chicken. It is so soft and juicy. And the pulm and miso sauce is also excellent. Very good at this hot summer.
