Charming little spot tucked away in an alley, great vibe sitting at the counter watching the skewers over the BBQ. But each skewer took a long time to arrive, the taste was nothing special, and the bill felt high for what it was.

Thanks for treating foreigners like local, we were arrived at 6pm but it was full. They made a reservation for my wife and I at 8pm. The food was tasted good, and grilled as well as looked great. Some of the food like chicken (breast) cooked with rare & medium rare on purpose, as to keep the meat tasted in softy and juicy. We ordered 11 grilled dishes and 2 side fried dishes with 3 drinks costed around 10000 yen.

the food was great, we enjoyed it. But right in the middle of waiting for our order, we were told that we “ need to leave at 9”, cuz there were people waiting. I said I was waiting for my order and turns out they forgot to add my order. So they rushed us out when we were just waiting for our order-only after about 3 minutes after we finished our last bite, and my drink was not even finished. How rude!! I wonder if they have the same rule to Japanese as well, since the table next to us were there before us and never been rushed.

Loved the skewers, there are vegetarian options as well, just make sure to specify that you can't eat bonito flakes (they tend to put those on the veggies). Everything was super tasty!

We were looking for a Yakitori restaurant we found this hidden gem. Food and service were awesome. We spent 6500 yen for 2 people including drinks. Will visit again the next time we are in Kyoto
