Great location in the city center. This is NOT a full revolving conveyor belt sushi with loads of options. You order form an IPAD and it comes to you. We went around 6 pm on a Thursday and alot of items where sold out or not available. Price is on the higher side, but the quality is definitely there. What ever we ordered was very delicious and fresh! The uni and blue tuna sampler plate was our favorite. This is a good restursnt to start off your conveyor belt sushi.
View on GoogleWe visited the restaurant our first night in Kyoto after a friend suggested we try a conveyor sushi restaurant. This was not the typical conveyor, you order from a tablet and your specific items are delivered to you spot via conveyor. Food quality was excellent, the staff was very helpful and we were seated in a private room for our group of 5 which had a very high end feel. Prices were extremely reasonable compared to sushi back home in Colorado, a similar meal would have easily been 2-3x as expensive! The bluefin tuna was great and we were able to try a wide variety of items. We liked it so much we came back on our last night in Kyoto. It was definitely the best sushi we had in all of Japan! There was a bit of a wait on a saturday night around 6pm of approximately 30-45 minutes but no wait on a Wednesday around 530pm.
View on GoogleThe concept is so much fun—the sushi arrives on a conveyor belt directly to your seat, making the entire dining experience interactive and exciting for both adults and kids. Joey absolutely loved watching each dish arrive! Every piece of sushi was exceptionally fresh, especially the tuna and uni. The fish literally melts in your mouth, and you can tell the quality is outstanding. The miso soup was rich and comforting, and even the crème brûlée at the end was perfectly caramelized and delicious. One of the biggest surprises was the Kyoto Matcha Beer. I had never tried anything like it before—it was incredibly smooth with a delicate matcha aroma and just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. It paired beautifully with the sushi and was an exquisite, uniquely Japanese experience that I highly recommend. If you’re looking for premium sushi in a relaxed and modern setting, this is definitely a place you shouldn’t miss. We’ll absolutely be back on our next visit to Japan! 🍣🍵🍺
View on GoogleKaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera in Kyoto offers conveyor-belt sushi. Located conveniently in the city, the restaurant features a stunning modern interior with dramatic wooden slat ceilings, elegant lighting, and a sophisticated yet welcoming ambiance that elevates the usual kaiten experience. The sushi quality is excellent. Fresh ingredients shine through in beautifully presented plates. it is noticeably more expensive than standard kaiten sushi, with plates ranging higher than average. It’s positioned as a premium option rather than everyday dining. However, the lack of wait times during weekday lunch makes it practical and appealing for visitors and locals alike. Overall, this is a great choice if you want quality sushi without the formality of high-end omakase. Worth trying at least once for the elevated experience. Recommended for food enthusiasts seeking something better than ordinary kaiten sushi in Kyoto.
View on GoogleWent to the Tokyo and Kyoto branches and both were incredible! Definitely think it is worth paying a bit more for the quality of the fish and the rice. As we had a picky eater with us (who can demolish 20 salmon and 20 otoro nigiri), this also allowed us to try a few new things without committing to a full omakase experience. Would recommend to anyone !
