View on GoogleUsed for lunch in late May 2023. The nearest station is located right in the middle of JR Nijo Station and Enmachi Station, so either is fine. The bus stop "Marutamachi Shichihonmatsu" heading west is right in front of your eyes and close. For parking, use a nearby paid parking lot. Opened since the early 1990s when the Heisei era had just begun, it is a community-based "machi-chuka" (town Chinese) restaurant consisting of counter seats and 4-person tables. This area used to have Odoi stone walls remaining until the mid-Showa era, but after being demolished around the late 1960s, roofed rental garages lined up until around the late 1980s. It is unclear whether cashless payment is supported. This time I ordered Tenshin-men, and the abundant omelet on top of the thin noodles submerged in soy sauce soup is delicious. The menu serves Chinese cuisine with a focus on multiple ramen, and Ohsho originating from Kyoto is imaginatively close. The owner is quite old, has stopped operating at night for several years, and has been closing more often during the day since this year. I am worried about the owner's health, so if there is an opportunity, I would like to stop by again and enjoy the nostalgic downtown taste. [Written April 2025]
View on GoogleOld-fashioned town Chinese shop. It was really delicious. The price is also cheap. The atmosphere is also good. The staff is also kind. I want to come again.
View on GoogleSuper cool machi-chuka! The master's light pan handling is pleasant and everything is aged in the same way. The punchy gyoza was delicious! Kids who say small things like cleanliness, service, etc., go elsewhere. Thank you for the meal, it was delicious.
View on GoogleI had the sweet and sour pork set. 950 yen. The sweet and sour pork meat is softer than Ohsho and usually delicious. Onions and carrots should be fried a little more, a little raw. The small dish like crab egg was unfortunately just crushed and baked egg. Miso soup has a faint ginger taste and is delicious. The seats have about 5 counter seats and a few tables, and I don't think there is a parking lot.
