The hospitality felt genuine at first, but unfortunately it seemed to come with conditions. As soon as the owner realized we weren't ordering as much as he expected, his demeanor changed 180 degrees. It's disappointing when service is based on the size of the bill rather than basic courtesy. To make matters worse, we were even charged more than the menu prices. Still, credit where it's due: the bathroom was clean, there was a proper prayer space, and the food portions were generous and it was also pretty good though I heard microwave were used... To reply owner's comment: How were we supposed to inform you when you didn't say a single word as we were leaving? I even had to look at the register screen to figure out how much we have to pay because you wouldn't tell us. When I said "thank you," you stayed completely silent. Honestly, your reaction felt like a kid throwing a tantrum because their parents wouldn't buy them a toy.

Had a great dinner here - my family was well catered for with vegans and non vegans alike enjoying a big feast of Bangladeshi style curries! I had the Chana Masala which was a bit different that the standard punjabi style and thoroughly enjoyable. Service was excellent and the owner was very nice - he even let me play on his guitars! Highly recommend.

Really good food. Order curry and you won't regret it at all. The owner is a nice man and his hospitality is commendable. Tea and samosas are also good to have if you are craving some snacks.

The food was tasty and enjoyable. We have eaten Rice, Nan, Egg plant, Dal, Prawn curry and all were good. The owner served Chai tea later and was also good. Recommended restaurant

What a wonderful authentic place, true deshi style curry. The owner was very hospitable and served everything very fast. The curry was and kebab was delicious. We enjoyed mango and killing dessert with masala chai. What a lovely place in Kyoto. Spice levels were on point and condiments were complimentary. Very happy and highly recommend 👌
