This shop should have put up the name "Butaya" and put the deliciousness of pork at the forefront, but when I tried the tonkatsu, which is the most important thing, I couldn't help but tilt my head. Not only is the flavor of the meat thin, but it is dry overall, and I don't feel juicy at all. The batter also has an impression of being a bit oily rather than crispy, and I thought they were not making the most of the pork's potential. If you are carrying a specialty store sign, honestly I want you to be more particular about the quality of the meat and the quality of the frying method. I am grateful for the convenience of being able to eat easily in the food court, but with this content, I can't help but feel a little unsatisfied as a "shop that sells pork". Hoping for future improvements in operations and quality, I will give it 2 stars this time.
View on GoogleOrdered donteki. Last time I went to Yokkaichi, they said it was a specialty. This time in the FOOD COURT, it turned out to be fried pork rice. My wife ordered a spicy pork set meal. I don't feel that by paying 400 yen more, what has increased. Instead, I personally feel that donburi rice is more delicious.
View on GoogleEvery Wednesday seems to be Ton-ichi day, a day where you can get katsudon and tonteki-don cheaper than usual! It just happened that I visited on a Wednesday, so I was lucky to get a cheap price on my first visit! I ordered the katsudon + cabbage & miso soup set. They serve freshly fried and freshly made katsudon. The katsu covers the rice, and it's the type where the soft egg and sauce soak in well, so the volume is full! The meat is also soft and because the sauce soaked into the rice, I didn't get bored until the end. For those looking for taste, quantity, and best value, I think this is an optimal shop when you want to eat a lot. Since it's in a food court, the style is to get your own water. Because I was very hungry, I was able to eat quickly without waiting. Thank you.
View on GoogleA pork katsudon/tonteki shop located in the 3rd-floor food court of Aeon Mall Kyoto Katsuragawa. Access is good, about a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Line Katsuragawa Station. Because it is cheap and voluminous, I think it is a popular shop in the food court. The center of the menu is pork dishes such as katsudon, tonteki-don, and loin katsu set meals. The characteristic is dishes using aged pork, and you can taste the deliciousness of pork strongly. I ordered the Ton-ichi set, two specialties. Shredded cabbage is placed between the tonkatsu and tonteki. I enjoyed the tonkatsu with sesame sauce.
View on GoogleThe staff's attitude is very bad. The guidance is unkind. After ordering, I didn't know how far to go, and when I was waiting in the middle, I was guided "pay first". When I went to the cash register, the staff was just busy organizing coins. They didn't start the payment for a long time, I waited without being told anything, without any apology, forever. Even when it was finally over, there was no apology, just a normal payment. And after paying, they started organizing coins again and didn't return the change for a long time. Since it's in a food court, I don't ask for excessive service at all, but shouldn't there be a minimal word or greeting as a human being?
