First time trying Persian food and honestly? Blown away. We ordered the kebab(?)im not sure. braised lamb shank, and herb?rice. The kebab was so juicy it was literally dripping without even poking it. The rice was the real surprise though — each grain perfectly separated, soft and fragrant, almost buttery. Mix it with the lamb shank broth and its unreal.Finished with ginger tea and which was a nice touch. Might be hyping it up, but this was definitely one of the best meals I've had in a while.
View on GoogleAn absolutely wonderful dining experience! The food was incredibly delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavors. Every dish was prepared with great care and tasted amazing. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm, clean, and relaxing. If you’re in Kyoto and looking for outstanding Persian food, this is the place to visit. Highly recommended, and I will definitely come back on my next trip to Japan. Thank you for the fantastic hospitality!
View on GoogleWow! What a gem in Kyoto. Found this authentic Persian restaurant after passing by their sister bar/pub closer to the city center and decided to take a night away from the amazing Japanese cuisine in Kyoto for a taste of nostalgia. I knew I wanted the barg kabob but the ultimate metric for the quality of any Persian restaurant is the koobideh, so I ordered the Soltani platter to try both. It was delicious! The barg meat was tender, cooker perfectly, and absolutely authentic in flavor. The « advieh/spices » of the koobideh were just right and it too was excellent. The rice was long grain in keeping with persian style and it was a generous portion. Staff was super friendly and welcoming, and they spoke Japanese, English, Farsi and more. You won’t be disappointed with your meal here. Lovely dinner experience.
View on GoogleWe came to Arash kitchen after visiting some shrines. This was one of the best kebobs I had: super juicy snd tasty and we tried all varieties from koobideh to Joojeh to Negin. Kadhke bademjoon was also authentic and quite home made. Above that, the owner and the entire staff were extremely friendly. I felt quite like at home with many memories from my childhood. Highly recommended
View on GoogleAwesome food and a great atmosphere. We ordered the kabab koobideh and zereshk polo, and both tasted incredibly authentic. honestly some of the best Persian food I’ve had. The owner was very warm and welcoming, and the tea and dates were a perfect touch. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Kyoto.
