We visited in April 2024. This review is way overdue. The food is delicious. The hosts are very hospitable. It was interesting watching the chef cook each dish and his wife introduce the ingredients as we ate. The highlight is the wild vegetables which are foraged by the chef himself. The different seafood dishes were very fresh. The ice cream dessert had wild flowers decorating it. We intend to go back one of these days.

This was THE BEST restaurant for my 12-day trip in the Kansai area! All the dishes are fabulous. Trust me, you won't regret driving 3 hours from Osaka to enjoy your dinner here, plus a visit to the Kotohiki beach nearby!

Best omakase experience I have ever had. Every dish was unique and delicious. Run by a couple, very friendly and humble in service. Must visit and I will definitely travel here again just for this meal.

Everything was good, particularly the local crab with garden vegetables, grilled isaki and nodoguro with rice. The chef’s wife also tries her best to explain the preparation and thoughts behind each dish to us with Google Translate. 10/10 would recommend a trip out here if you are visiting Kyoto or Kyotango.
