A shop with a simple atmosphere and wonderful cuisine. It's not a shop or cuisine that looks good in photos, but I felt a taste filled with warmth. Parking, should I park at the nearby government office? I walked from the hotel.

Cannot use paypay. Cash only. 4 counter seats, 4 tables for 4, 2 tatami rooms for 4, seems like there's more in the back. Western-style toilet. There is a parking lot. Tonkatsu set 830 yen. Clear accounting.

An old-fashioned cool canteen! Delicious! Besides the set menu, I ordered sashimi. There was no price on the menu, so when I asked the owner, he said 'Hmm, 1000 yen!', it really felt like he just decided it now, and that part was also good!

Visiting Mineyama-cho for work, when I looked up what to do for lunch, there are cool-looking canteens scattered around. After hesitating, I visited Kasai Shokudo. Indeed, the building is like a sushi shop, and there are sushi tubs stacked inside the shop, did it used to operate as a sushi shop? There is still a sushi menu now, but during the day, set menus other than sushi are the focus. I referred to the reviews and thought about ordering katsudon, but I was attracted to the 780 yen fried set and ordered it without hesitation 🤗 I was alone, but I think it took less than 10 minutes to be served. After one bite, I was convinced. The ingredients of each fried item were good, and they were carefully handmade. The shredded cabbage as a side dish was also uneven, which felt homey and good. The miso soup was also very delicious. There were many types of fried items such as fish, fried chicken, and others, I think there were 7 or 8 pieces. None of them were greasy, and because the ingredients were good, the rice tasted good (laughs) The rice is also plentiful, so you will be full~ It's a place that is rarely visited, but old-fashioned canteens in the countryside have many faces and are interesting. I think this is a canteen that should be visited when coming to Mineyama-cho. Thank you for the meal~

It was so delicious that the level of the cuisine and the price were out of balance. The hometown of the late manager Nomura, who is famous in Japanese baseball, is also at the next station and there is a Nomura manager museum there. It seems he often visited this canteen when he returned home. I would like to recommend it to those who have toured tourist spots and are confused about where to go or those who really love baseball.
