Became famous all at once because of 'Demon Slayer'. I visited more than 1 year ago, but I think since it was founded, people felt a mysterious power in the 'stone? big rock?'. I also felt it when I visited. Whenever you come... is it the beauty of nature? Was it added by human hands? A mysterious place, isn't it? ^^;

In the Iwanami Shinsho book 'Izumo and Yamato', there is a story about 'Kutani Jinja' in Kumihama. ~In this shrine, there is a huge rock (Iwakura) at the foot of the mountain adjacent to the shrine grounds, and it is known that Iwakura worship has been performed since ancient times, and there was a 'Shajitsu' there.~ Shajitsu is, ~a pentagonal stone pillar - the names of Okuninushi-no-kami, Sukunahikona-no-kami, Amaterasu Omikami, Haniyasuhime-no-mikoto, and Kuramitamano-mikoto are engraved on the five sides~, and it is said to be an indicator of the Izumo line. More than 'Kutani Jinja' itself, I was overwhelmed by the huge rock next to it. When walking between the rocks, I get goosebumps. If we talk about Iwakura worship, Omiwa Jinja in Sakurai is one, and Iwafune Jinja in Katano is also one. The theory of Professor Yasuhiko Murai, the author, is that the Izumo line has characteristics such as guardian dogs (komainu) that lift their butts, have Shajitsu, and have Iwakura standing firmly.

Power spot in Kumihama. The big rock makes me feel the magnificence of nature and power that cannot be expressed in words. Although it was hot, the surroundings were surrounded by trees and it was cool.

Kutani Iwakura, Kotani, Kumihama-cho, Kyotango-shi, Kyoto Prefecture. A group of giant rocks at the foot of Mt. Yawata, 5m high, 10m circumference. The sacred rope (shimenawa) is visible. The figure that looks like it was split vertically is very impressive. It is thought to have nature worship, Iwakura worship. There is a theory that it was used for sun worship. A quiet place, embraced by trees. A big rock can be seen on the mountain slope, and it feels like a divine landscape. You can go around the rock. Rocks line up towards the top of the mountain.
