Inaba Honke is a historic house in the area that used to belong to a wealthy merchant. The property also serves as a restaurant that offers a local specialty called barazushi as part of a set lunch. It is a layered rice dish with a variety of toppings. This building also has a fantastic Japanese Garden on the property (fully enclosed) and I saw some beautiful shots of a couple who had their wedding photos taken here. I particularly like the view from the second floor hallway/deck, where you can see all of the tiled roofs throughout the town.
View on GoogleA very interesting place. It is a house of a very rich merchant in Kyotango. The house is big and beautiful.
View on GoogleA beautiful building with a lot of historical significance. Not much English signage, but they have a flyer if you ask.
View on GoogleVery cool old house. Has a tea room in the back where you can get sweets and tea/coffee. It's was a very cool place with very nice gardens.
View on GoogleReally beautiful and impressive place for Arts and Craft! I could do a few pottery lessons here and enjoyed very much. The restaurant and shop are really nice too.
