We came here specifically to try the famous Taiza Crab with my family. Although the crab is quite pricey, it is considered the best variety of snow crab in Japan and was far superior to the regular snow crab. These crabs are priced based on their size, but the additional cost doesn’t scale proportionally with the increase in weight, so choose carefully.
View on GoogleWent in to have dinner late at night. The entire town was dark, but this was the only sign that was lit. Since I don't speak Japanese, the staff was kind enough to help me. I ordered Kaisendon and additionally, I don't remember the exact name, but I had grilled mackerel and shellfish. It was good, but I was disappointed that I couldn't eat Taiza's specialty crab. The waiter told me that crab season starts in November.
View on GoogleLocated within walking distance from beaches and a local onsen, Hisami has great views of the Japanese Sea from the restaurant interior. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. My wife and I both got a set meal and shared fried oysters for 3,300 yen and they feature so many local ingredients and seafood. The sashimi was incredibly fresh.
View on GoogleNot many restaurants around here, so we landed here. Turns out a pretty good stop. Like the sashimi and the curry cutlet. Worth every penny, also not too pricey.
View on GoogleRegarding the freshness of the seafood, it was served with ice mixed in, which did not make it seem very fresh. Furthermore, during payment, a foreign payment method was initially shown as available, but it was forcibly canceled due to the store's policy, and we were limited to using only cash or Japanese payment methods. It must be said that this was an inconvenient policy for foreign customers. Although the restaurant's atmosphere itself was good, these circumstances ended up spoiling our mood, which was initially looking forward to enjoying a meal.
