We visited Fukatabe in in Dec 2025. The chef runs a farm so the vegetables were the chef's own produce which was very fresh and delicious. We had tempura assortment, crab porridge, hamachi hot pot. We really like the sweet potato, we begged the Chef to sell us a few potatoes! The chef preserved many plums in different flavors. We tried a yogurt with preserved plums as dessert, it was so yummy and refreshing. Thank you Chef Sumino, thanks for the good food and your hospitality.

I first went to this restaurant on a Friday, and liked it so much I returned the very next night (and I don't often eat out). The owner grows his own vegetables, makes his own vinegar and soy sauce, and buys local fish. Even though this place is known as an Izakaya, there is no smoking inside! The menu is expansive, and there are a selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non. Highly Recommend. Two people can eat their fill for around 4,000 yen, but I have gone for a light dinner for two and spent less.

Really good hidden gem. Chill sit down restaurant. Owner is friendly and speaks a little English. Menu is all in Japanese. Food takes awhile to prep, but it's worth it as u slowly soak in the atmosphere and the food. Sweet potato tempura highly recommended.

食材很新鲜、美味。老板很健谈，也很努力的学着中文，虽然没什么中国游客，但是这种好学的精神是非常好的，希望下次遇到中国游客的时候可以用到中文，也祝店铺越来越好。
