A food truck I found on a certain campus in Shiga Prefecture. In the midst of school cafeterias being closed due to the pandemic, food trucks that satisfy students' hunger are like saviors. Among the many food trucks lined up, this one is particularly popular (^o^)/. A food truck with a stylish exterior, what is it selling? When I got closer to see, I found out it was 'Chicken Over Rice' which is popular in NY, and it looked delicious♡. Because I was starving and almost became a lunch refugee, I decided to try my first food truck experience! While wondering what everyone else was buying, I lined up. In the few minutes of waiting, the most popular one was Gyutan (beef tongue) Over Rice✨, so I copied and ordered it. ★Gyutan Over Rice (600 yen). I asked for less rice, but the volume is full. On top of the saffron rice, there are 3 thick pieces of beef tongue stewed tenderly with demi-glace sauce. There is a little yogurt-based white sauce on top, but the acidity is low and it feels like a gentle sour cream. Furthermore, there are crushed tortilla chips on top, and the texture is also fun. By the way, the 400 yen Chicken Over Rice can choose from 8 types of topping sauces (Salsa, BBQ, Basil, Sweet Chili, Yuzu Kosho, Hot Spicy, Wasabi Cream, Onion Pepper). Although it was midwinter, because it was sunny, the lunch I enjoyed while sitting on a bench on campus with a refreshing breeze was unexpectedly delicious, and my heart and stomach were satisfied. After looking it up, I found out that this shop is Olympia Shokudo located in Kyotanabe City, Kyoto. If I find this food truck again, I definitely want to try eating Chicken Over Rice.

I ordered the Gyutan Over Rice, and I was impressed to be able to taste very tender beef tongue at a reasonable price. I want them to come more often.
