Takeout is available. You can also take home roasted coffee beans. We have terrace seating where pets are allowed! You can also use it as a rental space. (Birthday parties, after-parties, screenings, photo sessions, meetings, etc.) Please consult with us first. The road in front of the shop is very narrow, so please be careful when visiting.

I had an omelet lunch and shaved ice at Kominka Coffee Monogatari. I was able to spend a relaxing time in the calm atmosphere unique to a traditional house full of charm. The omelet lunch was very delicious with the omelet baked gently and carefully, and the gentle seasoning seemed to soak into my heart. The balance with the side dishes was also good, and I was able to enjoy a meal that valued the taste of the ingredients. The shaved ice I had after the meal was perfect for a hot day with its fine ice that melted in the mouth and just the right amount of sweetness. In a space that felt nostalgic and warm, I tasted delicious food and sweets, and it was a wonderful moment to heal both mind and body. I would like to visit again in a different season.
View on GoogleArrived a little before opening on Sunday without a reservation and waited. The staff went out of their way to call us to the parking lot. I had the dashimaki (rolled omelet) lunch. The dashimaki, rice, and pickles were all delicious. You can get one free refill of rice and pickles, and I finished it quickly! I was happy that the pickles for the refill were a different lineup from the pickles that came with the lunch. The coffee and dessert after the meal were also delicious. My partner, who loves coffee, told the staff that he prefers dark roast with little acidity and bitterness, and decided which coffee to choose. It seems it was a very delicious coffee that perfectly matched his taste. I, who don't know much about coffee and am usually a tea person, also chose coffee since I was there. I chose the limited-time Sakura Blend. It was a delicious, mellow, and easy-to-drink coffee with little bitterness or acidity. The interior of the shop is a space that feels like traveling back in time to the Showa era, and there were plenty of seats so I could relax. The shop also sells vegetables, and you can buy fresh vegetables at a low price. I bought spinach and cucumbers. Payment for vegetables is cash only.
View on GoogleI'll give it 5 stars for the first time in a while. The space is relaxing, the staff's service is good, and the food is impeccable. I had the Kyoto-style dashimaki lunch, it had a gentle taste and the small side dishes were also delicious. You can refill the pickles and rice once each, and since both are delicious, I refilled both. The pickles for the refill were a different lineup from the first ones, a very attentive service. The lunch itself isn't very voluminous, but since you can refill the rice, I think it's enough even for a man like me. Above all, the price is reasonable, which is rare these days. The coffee was also chosen for me according to my preference, and the coffee and warabimochi were delicious. I came while waiting for it to open so I was guided smoothly, but it seems to be a popular shop because many people came after, so I think it's better to make a reservation or come early. Highly recommended to everyone!
View on GoogleVisited in May 2025. As you go through the village and wonder, "Eh, should I go in here?", a magnificent mansion appears! The garden and house are so carefully managed that it doesn't feel like it's 200 years old, and the food eaten inside is very voluminous! The traditional house lunch comes with plenty of pickles that make the rice go down well♪ There are also dashimaki and large onigiri lunches, maybe good to share with children♡ The Japanese sweets are attractive and the thick, home-roasted coffee goes perfectly with them~♡ They say it's okay to play in the garden, so being able to watch over the children while relaxing is also a high point. Since it's very spacious, it seems good for events too♪
View on GoogleA very good place. The atmosphere is good, the food is delicious, the staff are kind and helpful, nothing to complain about. However, the location is a bit difficult. Parking can hold about 5-7 cars? For smoking, you can smoke outside the shop on the side where there is a red sheet? It feels like you order, have a smoke, come back, and after relaxing for a bit, the food comes. I ordered iced cafe au lait and a Japanese-style parfait. I'm moving to Kumamoto and won't be coming here often, but it became a good memory!
