Like the old school train station, quiet and calm. There are a few small food truck near the station. Went for the Sagano Romantic Train.

The train station here is meant for scenic tours. It doesn't go far. A thirty minutes ride. Good views along the way.

The sweet potato vendor next to the station ruined my train experience. I was taking pictures of his cart when he suddenly came out and started yelling at me, then followed me and continued yelling. my friend and I are lady and he scared us a lot. Please stay alert when passing by.

The train ride was great. It was very hot as it is an open air train. I would suggest getting a big bottle of popcari sweat. It was nice to know that they keep this historical train in operation. At the main terminal check out the trainsets they have on display. You have the opportunity to drive the models.

This station is the final stop of Sagano Romantic Train. The scenery outside the station was beautiful. You can visit local cafe or restaurant around the station. I prefer come here with the first train schedule, then visit Arashiyama. If you book for one way ticket, then you can move to San-In Line (Umahori Station) walking around 10 minutes. But if you want to round trip by Sagano train, I highly recommend booking the tickets in advance.
