Since the road continued from the Nakayama-ike dam?, I was curious and went there. I used a 125cc scooter. There are several places to pull over so you can pass each other, but it's a steep slope with slightly damaged concrete pavement, so I wouldn't want to go there by car. There was an observatory at the top. You can see the Kameoka city area below. The day I came, the scenery was hazy due to yellow dust. Because the altitude is lower than the fog terrace nearby, the cityscape feels closer. On the north side, there was a shrine like Inari?

The entrance is a branch marked 'Iwae Inari-gu' on the side road of the Kyoto Jukan Expressway. At the place after climbing a fairly high slope, there is an observatory and Inari Shrine, and you can overlook the entire city of the Kameoka Basin.

It's a spectacular view. A place with a good view that can overlook the city of Kameoka and surrounding towns widely. There is a sense of height, and because there are few people, you can monopolize and enjoy the scenery calmly. There is also a shrine and it has a taste. An orthodox concrete observatory full of local feel is also good. Everything considered, as an observatory, this is a first-class place, so 5 stars. The road to get there is completely one lane, and there is a gravel road in the middle. It might take courage to climb by four-wheeled car.

Kameoka's famous sea of clouds. A few days ago our Heiwa-dai Park was 'in the clouds'. On this day, I was able to confirm the figure of the sea of clouds ending, the figure literally 'vanishing like clouds'. The time is a little before twelve o'clock. Also a few days ago, on this day I was able to confirm a failed sea of clouds, not a sea of clouds but a 'river of clouds'. You can see the fog emerging from the river. On the day, be sure to check the sunrise time, temperature, weather, and the presence or absence of fog before going. The slope from Nakayama-ike to the observatory will make you sweat profusely even in midwinter if you walk. Don't catch a cold.
