The most scenic setting to eat in Ine. See pics. A tremendous sushi and sashimi platter including sea snails for approx $28 US. Also the first time I ever ate raw shrimp sashimi; I almost hesitated but in the end finished everything. And the meal also included a tasty fried fish. The only reason I gave it a 4 in service is due to the “set” menu that I am not a fan of. Personal preference.

A high-end sushi shop at the heart of Ine, Kyoto. We didn’t have a reservation but we still enetered without flaws but it was already 2PM so had to eat fast. The lunch menu I had was “Wadatsumi Sushi Gozen” which had sushi, steamed fish, sashimi, snail, soup and chawan mushi. I got in a good spot to sit so I had a good view of the Ine sealine and even better in front the chef preparing our sushi. The sushi and sashimi were decent but not excellent, the escargot was gamey but the one that stood out was the steamed fish. It was tender yet the bones were easy to pluck out of. Wish we had more time to savor the food.

We order ¥8000 course for adults, which can be share with kids. Our family has 6 adults and 6 kids under 8. The experience would have been awesome if the waitress was more friendly. But it was ok. Sashimi with local fish types was fresh.

Four of us had a wonderful meal here. We made a reservation way in advanced for dinner. My husband got the top tier meal and we got the second tier one. Both were delicious. However, if you are not used to eating big portions, this might be too much food. I ate everything 😂but my husband and mom tapped out. It might be best to get the cheapest meal so you don’t waste food. They can make a kid’s meal with rice, miso soup and custard egg soup for your child. Service was good and restaurant is at a good setting. I will always remember Ine and the meals I had here.

A real treasure, magically situated in front of the sea. The food is excellent, well worth it. We were lucky to be able to walk in without any booking. Well worth the price. I would really recommend it for all sushi lover's who are looking for that special place.
