Went there during late autumn of 2025. Legendary hospitality, wonderful view, very confortable. There are very good restaurants nearby, as well as a good sake factory, and enjoyable boat tours. Thank you so much Mr MIYASHITA, we (2) enjoyed our stay very much. A shame we cannot come back a few times a year...

A fantastic little guesthouse, the man running it is a local and we had some great conversations! Breakfast was delicious, and you could not ask for more from the view and overall space.

The Most Impressive and Heartwarming Guesthouse I Have Ever Stayed At My partner and I had the chance to stay at [海辺の宿 かもめ] on November 24, 2025. This guesthouse is a unique Funaya-style property, characteristic of the town of Ine, where the house is built right along the sea. I must say, we were thoroughly impressed with every single aspect of our stay. 📍 Location The guesthouse is situated on the main route in Ine and is right on the most beautiful side of the sea. We could wake up and instantly see the ocean view right from our room—a truly beautiful and memorable panorama. 🏠 The Accommodation (Private Guesthouse Rental) This accommodation is a Guesthouse where a single booking reserves the entire house, which is fantastic value for money, especially for families. However, even for just the two of us, we felt it was well worth the cost. The house we booked was three stories, with space perfectly allocated: 1st Floor: The reception area, a shower room, and, notably, a very large bathtub perfect for a relaxing soak. 2nd Floor: The dining room, where both dinner and breakfast were included in our reservation. 3rd Floor: The main sleeping area, which included the beds, a toilet, and a washbasin/sink. The interior decor is traditional Japanese style, with well-defined areas. The bedroom floor is covered in tatami mats, and there was a central table with an electric rug for extra warmth—a thoughtful touch for those sensitive to the cold. The two 3.5-foot beds were extremely soft and comfortable, and the large duvet was wonderfully warm, making for a perfect night's rest. 💖 Service and the Owner's Warmth The owner, Mr. Miyashita, is cheerful and genuinely serves guests with a warm heart. He took excellent care of us, from helping carry our luggage to even driving us to the viewing point in Ine town and recommending charming local cafés. Mr. Miyashita-san has a wonderful disposition and engaged us in delightful conversations during meal times, making the atmosphere lively and fun. We ended up learning a mix of Japanese, English, and even some Thai together—making our meals the most enjoyable part of the trip! 🍣 The Food (Dinner and Breakfast) For Dinner, we chose the local fish menu, and Mr. Miyashita-san's cooking was absolutely stunning. It included: Fish simmered in Soy Sauce (Tuna/Mackerel) Fresh Fish Sashimi Hot Fish Shabu-Shabu Udon made from the leftover Shabu-Shabu broth Every dish was truly delicious. My partner and I ate until we were completely full (so much so that Mr. Miyashita-san teased us!), simply because we didn't want to waste a single bit of the wonderful food. For Breakfast, it was a traditional Japanese set meal that was equally delicious and appealing. It included steamed rice, tamagoyaki (sweet rolled omelet), pickled fish, sweet squid, grilled fish, seaweed salad, and Japanese-style vegetable salad. It was so good that I even asked for a second bowl of rice! ✅ Summary and Recommendation I highly recommend this guesthouse! If you are looking for an accommodation that is comfortable, clean, well-located, great value for money, and managed by an incredibly kind and warm owner, [海辺の宿 かもめ] is the ultimate choice. We are determined to return here again!

Staying at Mr. Miyashita’s inn in Ine was nothing short of extraordinary — a truly once-in-a-lifetime, heartwarming experience. From the moment I arrived, he went above and beyond as a host. He personally greeted me at the bus stop, conveniently located right at the inn’s doorstep, setting the tone for exceptional hospitality. When it rained the next morning and I had to cancel my bike rental, Mr. Miyashita kindly lent me his own bicycle, free of charge — a gesture that perfectly encapsulated his generous and caring nature. The accommodations themselves were impeccably maintained, blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comforts, including cozy beds and season-appropriate heating or air conditioning. The bath was an unexpected highlight — incredibly high-tech and utterly fascinating. The surrounding scenery was breathtaking, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere that felt like a retreat from the world. And the meals? Unforgettable. Mr. Miyashita himself prepared and cooked each dish, delivering exquisite, home-cooked meals that were both comforting and delicious. Thank you, Mr. Miyashita, for making my stay so special. Your warmth, generosity, and attention to detail made this an experience I will cherish forever. Wishing you and your family good health and continued success in your wonderful business.

I had a really great time staying here! Mr. Miyashita is very attentive, cheerful and overall is a very good host! He helped me plan what time to take the bus, called the visitor center to arrange the bike rental, took me visit Ine Park, arranged the private funaya boat tour, explained to me about Ine and what to see around here very thoroughly. Had a great time talking to him, he even tried to talk to me in my native language. The breakfast Mr. Miyashita and his mum prepared for me was very good, it was a homey food that reminds you of home when you’re away. They really took care of me during my stay. Definitely will be back next time and recommend this place to family and friends!
