A restaurant I've been curious about for a while. The inside is spacious, with counter, table, and tatami seating. Since it was my first visit, I ordered from the recommended menu, the 'Kura-katsu 200g Gozen', and added ponzu for about 100 yen. Ordering is done via smartphone, and payment is made by taking the QR code on the table to the register. You can grind sesame seeds to your liking and add tonkatsu sauce. Near the center is ponzu, and inside the tonkatsu bucket are grated radish and green onions. Next to the ponzu is matcha salt, and next to the tonkatsu is lemon. It's wonderful to be able to enjoy various flavors. The tonkatsu is mille-feuille style, the batter is crispy, not super juicy but normally delicious. I'm grateful it's cut into bite-sized pieces (might be a bit big for women). The 200g portion was satisfying enough. The sesame sauce is also good, but I personally prefer eating it with grated radish ponzu or matcha salt. Next time I want to try the plum meat. There are many other menus, and next time I think I'll try the fillet series, but the steak and hamburger also look good. The price is on the high side, but the content is satisfying. I'm grateful there is free Wi-Fi in the shop. I'll stop by again if I have the chance.
View on GoogleThe hamburger, steak don, and duck soba that my family ate all looked very delicious. But the sashimi & tempura I ate felt just okay. The sashimi was watery and the tempura batter wasn't thick but... the batter didn't taste good. Rather than all the food being disappointing, I felt a difference in quality between what my family ate and what I ate. The staff's service was polite, and the interior has a Showa-era feel, which I really like. I thought if I ate something else, it might be more delicious. (Meat dishes or udon/soba)
View on GoogleI went because the reviews were good, but... for me, there won't be a next visit. I ate the (supposedly) popular hamburger set meal, but the hamburger felt very much like a retort pouch, and the rice was also...
View on GoogleI stopped by in the evening on a weekday in late June. The shop is very spacious, with counter, table, and tatami seating, so it seems it could be used for large groups such as memorial services. I ordered the yakiniku set meal, the meat was voluminous on a hot iron plate and delicious. The price is a bit high, but the content is satisfying.
