Maimai-do cafe is a labour of love, everything from their bakes to items for sale are all lovingly curated! The tarte tartin is a must try!! (It was so delicious I forgot to take a photo) The cafe owner is so kind and friendly — upon hearing that I was visiting for the first time from Singapore, she also shared recommendations on things to do, and books from local artist to browse at her cafe! I had such a beautiful time here and in Fukuchiyama, thank you for your warm hospitality and hanging out with me 🤩

It was a cute shop! The person at the shop was also kind and gave me a map of Fukuchiyama saying "there are other cute shops too". Since I had just eaten lunch, I bought scones to take home. It was crispy and delicious. Next time I want to enjoy dessert slowly in the shop.

It felt like a miscellaneous goods store and a cafe combined, it felt very old-fashioned!
