An art museum where you can see paintings by Sato Taisei, a painter from Fukuchiyama. It is a compact 2-story art museum. Since it is inside Fukuchiyama Castle Park, I think it would be good to visit it together with the castle and Fukurelu. Photography was prohibited inside the museum.

You can learn about Sato Taisei’s history, and the renowned Fukuchiyama Castle is right nearby. Perfect for a town where you raise children!

An art museum collecting works by Sato Taisei, a nihonga painter born in Fukuchiyama. Sato Taisei was born in 1913. Judging from the works on display, I felt that many of his paintings have a calm, relaxed style. On the museum’s 2nd floor are works by painters associated with him, including Taisei’s students. These were interesting because each artist’s individuality was quite different. There aren’t that many works on display, so you should have enough time to see everything if you stop by while visiting Fukuchiyama Castle. A combined admission ticket with the castle is also available.

I bought the ticket together with the castle admission ticket, so I tried visiting the art museum. It’s very small, so it’s easy to look around, but there may be a bit too few exhibits. My favorites were the lotus painting and the work with butterflies finished in vivid colors. I don’t have enough knowledge to talk much about paintings, so this is just my personal taste☺️

For 100円, you can try weaving + make a coaster to take home. The staff also helped kindly and carefully with various things, making it a very lovely memory.
