This small restaurant specializes in Kyoto style kaiseki. They are reservation and set courses only. Sets range from ¥5000 to ¥10,000, and the ingredients will change based on the price. If there's any food you dislike, just let them know during reservation! The menu and dishes change monthly so you can keep coming back. We got the ¥7000 course and was thoroughly impressed. The whole meal took two hours for 8 dishes. We went in July so a lot of summer ingredients. Some highlights were a homemade Gion festival float which held our food and a huge ice cube hand carved to hold our sashimi. Each dish was beautiful to the eye and palette. I tried many ingredients that I normally would not be brave enough to try at other restaurants. Many of the fish and vegetables are local and the hostess explained every single food item. According to the hostess (chef's wife), the chef went to a nearby town called Ine to catch and bring back the Snappers we had! The variety of food that came out and how each item is so delicate and obviously time consuming to create, really made me appreciate each bite. Both the hostess and chef were extremely kind and friendly. It was a culinary adventure that had me planning for the next time we can come back to this restaurant!

View on GoogleIn February, I used it for lunch with my family to celebrate my father's 90th birthday. All the dishes were wonderful, and the whole family was very satisfied, saying delicious! wonderful! Delicious elaborate dishes, visual beauty, harmony with tableware, quality of tableware, There is no end to listing the good points, but anyway it was good. The room was a tea room. There were tables and chairs so that even an old couple could eat comfortably. Thank you very much. I want to visit again.
View on GoogleThe atmosphere was good since opening the shop, well-maintained shop, private room, I was able to spend time leisurely. The speed of food delivery was also just right. 5000 yen for lunch is not something you can come to often, but it was truly a feast for the eyes and mouth. Of course hamo and duck, eggplant that absorbed the flavor well, finely cut squid sashimi, etc., there were hot and cold dishes, and I really enjoyed it until the end. The only pity was that coffee was not served.
View on GoogleAll the dishes served utilized the ingredients, and many felt the season. Furthermore, all the tableware was beautiful, which further highlighted the dishes. The interval and amount that came out were also attentive, there is no other word but wonderful. The explanation of the dishes was good until the middle, but because there was none at the end, I gave the service a 4. But it's not something that bothers me. This time I used it to entertain customers who came from afar, and the other party was also happy. I can recommend it with confidence.
