The meal offers excellent value for the price. Both the katsudon and ramen were served hot and fresh for only 1,200 yen. Highly recommended.

Love it! If you don't speak or read Japanese, just go to the window to point what you want. Tried katsu curry, ramen and cutlet bowl. Yum.

Someone from 湧別町 told me that if you're eating out, this is the only place to go! So I went. カツ丼 (large) and ramen set 1200円+large portion 200円＝1400円 A delicious カツ丼 from a countryside diner. The 「麩」 in the ramen also gave it that old-fashioned ramen feel, which was great.

This is a historic diner on the main street in 上湧別. This is actually where my wife was born, and she said she had ramen here as a child but doesn't remember it at all, so we decided to visit. Both the exterior and interior are just as they were in the Showa era. With high hopes, I ordered the カツ丼 and mini ramen set, which also gets good reviews on Google MAP😉 The slightly sweet カツ丼 had a generous portion of meat and exceeded my expectations! The shoyu ramen also has a gentle flavor you could eat every day without getting tired of it😋 It's a place loved by locals and tourists alike. Next time I'd like to try the カツカレー (haha).

☆だるま軒☆ This is だるま軒, a long-established diner in 湧別町. When you search the Net, a few other だるま軒 places do come up^^; Well, I have memories of this place. Back when my mother was still alive, our whole family, including my siblings, went to see the tulips. We were wondering what to do for lunch… But it was peak season, so every restaurant was packed… sweat. I remember the owner of だるま軒 somehow letting us in. The ホタテ丼 I ate there had so many scallops, and I remember it being incredibly delicious. I'd driven past several times, but finally managed to visit this time. The storefront really hasn't changed; it's seriously a long-established place. At the entrance there are display food models, which are almost disappearing these days, and somehow that made me happy^^ The tulip season was over, and perhaps because of the time of day, there weren't many customers. I could relax and enjoy the delicious food♪ Of course, I ordered ホタテ丼! This time I also had mini shoyu ramen〜 Ah, there are still so many scallops in it♬ So good! The seasoning might be fairly light, but it's delicious^^ The ramen also had 麸 and a gentle flavor, and the portion was just right♪ Anyway, I was happy to visit again, and really glad〜 I keep saying this, but along with the memories, it was extremely delicious☆ Thank you for the meal(_ _)
